Hopeful Traders are looking for volunteers to help us run our brand new retail space amongst the bustling markets of Brick Lane in East London.
About Hopeful Traders
Hopeful Traders are a clothing brand and social enterprise that collaborates with people affected by homelessness and mental illness on it’s designs. Sales of the collaborations raise money for the individuals and charities that they choose.
Hopeful Traders have been chosen for the curated shopping space, Rinse Showrooms. Our open fronted store will need some friendly folks to make customers feel welcome and to inform them about the brand’s work. Volunteers will also do some of the standard retail job things like
- take sales
- keep the shop looking really bloody great
- managing cash
- friendly chats with customers about our work
Hours are totally flexible and there is no long term commitment. We aim to have enough people in the group that we you can just fill in a few hours on weekends when you are free.
No previous experience required. We are looking for reliable individuals with an interest in our work and social impact. You should be genuinely motivated by being friendly and chatty with our customers.
If you are keen to learn more about social enterprise there may be more opportunities down the line to get involved with. This is a great way to introduce yourself to our work and for us to get to know each other :)
